Tours, Reactions and Results

Since the Jonas Brothers rise to fame they have toured extensively to a series of sold out arenas and auditoriums, as well as receiving praise for their large-scale and passionate performances. Though one of the most immensely popular and sought after bands by today's standards the Jonas Brother's humble beginnings are often overlooked.

Upon the release of their 2006 debut "It's About Time", the Jonas Brother's began a small promotional tour to gain exposure for the album. The tour included many performances in small-scale venues before they made the leap to moderately large theatres as an opening act. They opted to open for the Cheetah Girls and Aly & AJ on their Cheetah-licious Christmas Tour; although, this portion of the tour was strictly limited to the eastern-coast of the United States. This was undoubtedly a consequence of the Jonas Brother's young age and New Jersey origins but, the tour quickly gained momentum and they began to frequent clubs along the mid-western coast making their way through the southern-states; this was known as the Jonas Brother's American Club Tour. Though the tour may seem insignificant today, it helped generate a fair amount of exposure for the album. "It's About Time" debuted at #91 on the Billboard charts and sold over 60, 000 copies in the United States alone; an impressive feat for a newly emerging band. The Jonas Brother's first promotional tour was a great success.

Less than a year after the American Club Tour, the Jonas Brothers began planning another in support of their new self-titled album. The tour was entitled the Marvelous Party Tour or simply, the Prom Tour. It was particularly significant as it was first time the Jonas Brothers began to really engage with their fans. Each stop on the tour was adorned with decoration pieces such as photo booths to create the atmosphere of a true high-school prom. This was also the Jonas Brother's first official headlining tour and stretched across the United States for over 46 dates. It is interesting to note that while the Prom Tour passed through many low-populated cities it has been their longest tour to date. As a result of the tour, their sophomore album sold at a rapid pace and achieved a platinum status on the U.S. Billboard 200. They began to amass more fans and more sold out performances throughout the year. As the Prom Tour drew to a close, their popularity ensured a second promotional tour. This was entitled the Look Me in the Eyes Tour and lasted for 39 dates including several in substantially larger cities. They were joined by the well-known Los Angeles pop-rock band Rooney for the entirety of the tour which helped gather larger crowds of fans and more recognition. The Jonas Brothers had previously signed a contract with Live Nation for a two year, worldwide tour. The second year of this contract eventually became their most successful tour to date, the Burning Up Tour. Although the main objective was to promote their newest album "A Little Bit Longer", the tour was also a successful way to promote the Disney Original Film, Camp Rock which starred the Jonas Brothers themselves. Pop sensation Demi Lovato served as an opening act and surprise guests included Avril Lavigne and Taylor Swift. Their show at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California was recorded and featured prominently in the upcoming concert film, Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience.

Since 2008, fans have been readily anticipating the announcement of a new world-wide tour. Although the Jonas Brothers have travelled abroad in the United States they have yet to tour on an international scale. It is believed that such a tour is in the works and will be their sixth since 2005. It has been announced that the Jonas Brother's new tour will include extensive Australian, European, Canadian and Asian dates for the very first time. So, as the Jonas Brother's continue to gain fame and recognition around the globe, fans will finally have the chance to see what launched the band from small clubs to enormous arenas.
